Private Wellington East Coast Mounted Rifles
Next Of Kin: Born in Hastings 1882. Served in Egypt, Palestine and Abyssinia. Discharged August 1919. Did not go to Gallipoli, held back breaking in horses in Egypt, that had been shipped from the United States. Once horses broken in they were ridden up the Jordan Valley. Hospitalised frequently with malaria. After the war worked on father's farm in Tipapakuku, Dannevirke. Went into partnership with brother Ronald at Mangarawa in 1923.
